Berlin is made up of its neighbourhoods that all have a distinct flavour. For a metropolis, it’s delightfully green: The city is dotted with vast parks, canals and the Spree river floating across the centre.
Faster than walking and closer to street-level than on a tour bus, bicycle is the perfect way to get to know the city. As it’s mostly flat terrain, cycling in Berlin’s a joy so get yourself a bike and join the pedalling crowd!
The Bicycle Tour in Berlin is a pleasant ride in the most interesting parts of the city. Roughly 20 kilometres long, it takes you through Neukölln, Tempelhof, Schöneberg, Mitte, Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg passing famous landmarks like the former Tempelhof Airport (today a park), Brandenburg Gate and the TV-Tower on Alexanderplatz on the way. Most of the route runs on wide bike paths in parks and along railway tracks avoiding big streets.
