Reindeer herding is a vital living lifestyle in Muonio area and the reindeer herder´s cabins are still in use as part of the reindeer herding year. We get to visit a traditional reindeer herder cabin, hear about the reindeer year back in the days and how they are done modern style, and hear also about local ingredients and how to use them in cooking.
Starting point can be arranged so that there is an easy access with own car and if necessary we will also arrange transportation from your accommodation nearby. In the wintertime we might need to drive a short journey with snowmobile and sleigh, and in the summertime by hiking. The dinner is made of local ingredients and enjoyed by open fire.
