Au programme

The idea of this tour is to take you to a few of my own favourite spots in my local city, Tampere, including its atmospheric cafés which you find at the core of this tour, as I think it's a great way to get a "taste" of the city and get some time to relax while touring!
Apart from the cafés, you'll get to enjoy a nice view over the city centre from above. Our route will include walking past several city landmarks, such as the famous cathedral, the rapids and the old factory area Finlayson.

The length of this tour is approx. 1,5/2-2,5 hours depending on the time spent in the cafés and how many café visits you would like to include in your tour. I've got a few special favourites, but I'm able to suggest other ones as well depending on the time of our tour, for example. The walking route can be tailor-made to your interests and needs and I could pick you up either at the bus station or at the railway station.
Or, if you'd like to combine this tour to a museum visit, for example, this could be easily arranged, as the endpoint of our tour can also be, for example, the museum centre Vapriikki or the Moomin museum near the university, so you could enjoy the museum at your own pace after our tour together. A slightly longer tour taking you to Amuri or Tallipiha or the popular market squares could be arranged as well.

Price: A group discount for a tour for min. three to four people (adults) is possible. Children for free. Please note that the price does not include what you eat/drink as this could vary. It's good to reserve around 7-15 euros per person per café.

The number of participants is limited as the cosiest cafés tend to have less space.

What to wear: good, steady shoes (no high heels), and an umbrella in case of some light rain. If heavy rain is expected I recommend postponing the tour, as the route will include walking quite a bit in the city centre, not just cafés.

Languages: I offer this tour mainly in English (or in Finnish), but upon request it could be available in German as well, or in Swedish, even in French even if some basic knowledge of either English or Finnish would be beneficial.

Qui est Tiina - le/la Doer

I'm a travel enthusiast myself. When I'm travelling, I tend to look for cafés with great atmosphere and the most beautiful corners of the cities I visit. I'm always happy to discover the so-called "hidden gems", plus I enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their experiences.

I've got experience of guiding and organising activities and visits for smaller and bigger groups of international students in the past, as well as showing my own personal guests, friends and family around the city. While touring with you, I'm happy to share my local knowledge with you, and if you wish, to give you tips on what to do and where to go both from the viewpoint of a local and a tourist. Additionally, I could offer you some ideas what else there is to discover in this region/Finland.
