According to the Finnish Heritage Agency, Uusikaupunki is one of the best-preserved Empire style wooden towns in Finland. The best way to experience the now and before of the wooden town is by joining a guided walking tour led by an authorised tour guide.
During the Crusell Music Festival, on July 24, tour is organised from 11 am to 1 pm, and the tour will stop at the market square at noon to listen to the festival's open air concert, “Fanfare of the day”. This walking tour is available only in English on Saturday, July 24.
The tours depart from and return to the square by the Pakkahuone guest harbour, Pakkahuoneentori 2, Uusikaupunki.
